Go-To Barista in Your Hands

How really are you?

After COVID-19, many things have changed, but one significant change is in our work culture. Most of our time is now spent at home, and the act of asking someone face-to-face how they are has gradually diminished.

I have also spent a lot of time at home and found myself unconsciously drinking countless cups of coffee while working. Standing in front of the coffee machine, a thought crossed my mind: It would be wonderful to have a barista who kindly asks me about my mood today.

Prototype for Coffee Pensieve

To validate the idea of "Coffee and Mood Tracker" ,
I prototyped my idea using Notion and shared it with coffee-loving friends who typically consume at least
two cups of coffee a day.

Based on the insights and feedback gathered during the process, I updated the core features and are now releasing Version 1 of the product.

Do you drink coffee every day?

Not only do I drink coffee every day, but I also take coffee orders, make coffee, and serve it.

Cause I work as a barista in Melbourne, the coffee capital. Perhaps we've met in a cafe, with me being the barista and you as a customer. 😎

The first conversation with customers always begins with "How are you?"
Most people respond with "Good" or "Not bad."
In reality, no one really says, "I'm so tired today and just want to go home. I've just started my shift, though."

Where did idea come from?

In the Harry Potter series, Dumbledore stores his memories in a device called a Pensieve and revisits them.

Inspired by that, I developed the Coffee Pensieve.
I hope that these small records can bring a magical experience, making your life more vibrant and refreshing.
